Prowling through the darkness, the oversized brute gazed through yellow-green eyes as the moonlight reflected off the snow. There was very little of it, being that it did not get very cold here for too long during the winter. The black male turned his ears slowly, catching all the distant, and close, noises that surrounded him. This land was claimed, yes; however, the owners had been absent for quite a while, and he and his counterparts had decided they needed a land for their own.
Up ahead, a small black female pranced along, her head low and her light brown eyes intent on the horizon. She suddenly stopped, one paw in the air, her ears perked forward tensely, and stood for a moment. Her head twisted around to look behind her in the blink of an eye and she began growling, her hair bristling on the back of her neck. She did not relax as the older black male's muzzle became visible in the slight moonlight.
"Fell, you should know not to sneak up on me," She snarled. The male looked at her with his yellow-green eyes and sinply shrugged. "You must learn not to be so weary, Dakota." The female snorted. "It is what keeps me alive. If you were smarter, you would be less trusting as well." She snorted and turned, walking off again.
After a moment, two more wolves emerged, a white male and a dark gray female. Gematria, the male, had orange eyes looked to his right at the gray female and shrugged. They had caught the tail-end of Dakota's words and knew that she was in a mood. But then again, when wasn't she in a mood.
They all grouped together and trotted along, coming into a plain with tall, dead grasses that were lightly dusted with the white winter powder. Dakota started to growl again but it was not a threatening or dangerous growl. Then, she lifted her muzzle and howled, staking her claim on this land. If the owner wanted to step forward, she would fight, to the death. And, of course, she would win. Fell nodded his approval and Gematria and Ariana just looked on in slight wonder. They had not owned their own land before.

He sat a few kilometers away, watching them make their way over the territory. He had been following them, or rather following Dakota. He was only interested in her, as he had actually only met her in the 'claimence grounds' as the horses called it. He had met two other wolves, Snarlfang and MoonShine, who were not here right now.
Snarlfang. To him, he was annoying, and had already decided by himself that he would be a alpha if they all had joined him. Sulfur had agreed to join him, as he thought to other two, would but they hadn't. He had left the idiot, Snarlfang and followed Dakota. Moonshine on the other hand, was more annoying. You could at least have a conversation with her though. She proclaimed that he was her brother, he remembered her but recalled no history of it being so.
Sulfur was lying on the rocky terrain, his dark coat allowing him camouflage as the sky turned to darkness. His golden eyes spotted him out. He cocked his head as they stopped, two of them were talking but he couldn't hear their words. From where he was sitting, it was like they were mumbling, or whispering to one another. A smile lit up his face, and he made himself known as he began to howl.

As Dakota stood stock still, her head jerked quickly to her left as a strange howl rose to the sky. Her hackles raised slightly in defense and she snarled quietly, starting to prowl in the direction it had originated. But as she grew closer to the source, the familiar scent of Sulfur met her nose with an almost pleasant touch. She smirked slightly but shook the pleasantry away, putting a serious expression back on her face, though it was hard to mask her pleasure in her eyes. She approached him and stopped a few feet away. "Glad to see you finally made it," she said in a slightly sarcastic tone.

He was intelligent and always on time, always. It wasn't like he had nothing to do, it was just that he hated keeping people waiting, and hated to wait whatsoever. In response to her words, he turned his head and looked to the boarders before back to Dakota. "Finally got here? I got here the same time you did, I just was looking around first." He replied smugly.
He wanted to demand who they were, the other three, but he didn't. He kept his mouth shut, and acted like he really didn't care, but anyone could notice he was interested in them. "I thought that wolf.. Ahh, what's her name.. Oh, Moon Shine, was following you?" He asked, obviously making an effort for a civil conversation.

Dakota nodded at the male's words, smirking from his smug attitude. She liked this brute, oddly enough. It was quite a first for her to find another that she did not want to tear to shreds, other than Fell and perhaps the other two that she had traveled with as well. At the mention of Moon Shine, Dakota bristled but only slightly. The female had annoyed her from the beginning and though she did not truthfully want her to tag along, Dakota knew that it would be in the best interest of everyone if she got along with the other female. "She should be along here shortly..." The black fem replied with a slightly clipped tone.
Fell stepped forward to stand next to Dakota. "Ah yes, there are my traveling companions and, now anyways, the others who will reside here with us in this land. This is Fell, Ariana, and Gematria." The large black male, Fell, nodded in greeting. Ariana, the small gray-ish female smiled at Sulfur and the also slightly large white male, Gematria, simply looked at this new male as he was introduced. "It is a pleasure, we have not met a new wolf in quite some time," Ariana said in a friendly tone. "Yes, a pleasure indeed," Fell said after her, smiling slightly. Gematria sat in silence, allowing the others to speak their greetings for him. The time for words with Gematria were few and far between. He only spoke when he felt it necessary.

"The pleasure is all mine." He said quietly, turning his head his eyes caught the female walking towards them. He turned his head back and introduced himself, shook himself and yawned. Things were only getting boring in this conversation. He shifted his gaze to the west where prey might be. He moved, standing now and shook himself. "So, who's in charge around here?" He asked sheepishly.
And then she came. The female named Moon Shine not to far from where he was. He rolled his golden eyes and took a step to the west away from them. "Anyone want to go hunting..?"
ooc : X.X Boring conversation, Not really knowing what to say. Soz for short post.

Dakota eyed her comrades as they introduced themselves, bristling slightly as Gematria remained silent. But she sort of liked his lack of words, it made him...mysterious. Her duo-colored eyes narrowed as she turned them sharply to look at the approaching MoonShine. Always like a female to be late, she thought, grumbling to herself.
"I am in charge, considering I lead us all to this land," Dakota said. She knew Fell would want to argue, considering he was the oldest and smartest of the group. Dakota thought that fact was debatable, but when the old wolf didn't say anything, she looked back to Sulfur. "Hunting? Yes, I could go for a quick catch," she smirked and stood, walking to stand closer to the male.

Sulfur glanced at MoonShine as she approached. He moved to a quick walk, eager to get away from her. No doubt she would end up at the omega. He stood, scenting for any sign of prey. He began to move towards the horizon, where you could see other animals dotted along it. The gazelle had caught his attention.

It was dusk, almost the time of darkness. A few shining stars dotted the horizon as the light barely glistened upon the land. Gray light scattered over it revealing a clear night. No clouds were out this evening, not even one. It was calm and cool, the warmth of the savannah draining quickly. The dry grass swayed unevenly as a brisk gale drifted through, moving everything 'small' in its path. Still, she stood tall, looking at them from below a tree in the grasslands.
The land...it was very different than most. Mountains, grasslands, and deserts were here. It was so large, it seemed to swallow the few that lived here alive. Rumors had been spreading about a wolf pack staying in the land. More interested her than that. With wolves, there was power, with power there was more. More to be fought for, more to be won. The initial fight was the hardest but well worth it.
The female wolf stood taller than every wolf she had been since the time she could remember. Golden eyes spelled mystery and depth along with the design that was artistically placed upon her muscular form. Ivory and ebony patches existed along her stomach with patches of russet coloration in various places. Dots were upon her legs. Crepusculum was something to look at, something surely to notice. Nothing would stand in her way here.
Claws gripped the ground firmly as she walked to the center, nodding to each of them. Her intelligent eyes studied each of them, taking them in one by one. There was only one male but two females were here. One of them seemed more like her, but the other one was weak, clearly. It was obvious that at least one of them would give her problems. Of course, showing confidence to her might change their minds about even thinking of challenging her at anything. "Greetings," she said, her crystal lyrics flowing like the purest of water. Beneath them was threat.

Multi-colored eyes fell in a critical way on the approaching female. Dakota felt herself tense as she watched the newcomer approach but she held her cool. Intruders only seemed disrespectful. It could have been a simple mistake. The lead female stood and shook herself, freeing her coat of any leaf litter that may have collected there. Though this new female was almost twice the size of Dakota, she feared nothing, and stood tall and proud.
Gematria watched from afar, his glittering orange eyes bright with interest in this female. The male's white coat, as usual, was spotless, just the way he liked it. He had a feeling something was about to happen but for now, the large male would just sit and wait and decide when he would jump in to back up his friend. Fell, the eldest male of the four previous wanderers, stepped a few strides closer to Dakota. Though he was old, he was very experienced and was technically the leader, even though Dakota was more outspoken and...controlling. Ariana, the fragile-looking gray female, paid no mind. She never had anything to do with confrontation, and would mind her own business unless she somehow became involved.
Dakota stretched her front legs out on front of her, arching her back in an extravagent display of just how bored she really was. With a smug expression on her face, she approached the trespasser and circled her once, looking over the large multi-colored female with her different colored eyes. At the female's greeting, Dakota almost chuckled, sensing the threat beneath her words. Please, the she-wolf thought sarcastically. "Greetings, trespasser," she stated smoothly, her tone like ice as it left her lips. A smirk settled on her face and she turned to sit right in front of the female, looking at her with a slight hint of a challenge. ooc ;; sorry if this is jumbled. my mind is aaallll over the place.

Crepusculum let a small smirk creep on to her features as the saw the ebony female walking up to her. The female towered over the slender, petite female that lived in Africa. The large wolf flicked her tail easily as the wolf circled her. Quickly, she snarled and turned to face her, telling her not to get any ideas. As her golden flecked eyes, roved over her, Crep noticed that she was blind on the right side. She tested it, moving to the right of her, seeing what she would do.
Her position was defensive, standing planted to the ground, her claws dug into the sandy soil. It wasn't like she really cared what the other more uptight female did. The other would think nothing of her though, unless she was more barbaric than she looked. There were many things that this she wolf didn't know about her, and that was quite an advantage to the beauty that stood before them all.
In the distance, she saw a middle aged looking male wolf that had a similar coloration of eyes as herself. She nodded to him in a small gesture of greeting when he came closer. He was ivory, purely, but he seemed different than the ebony female that stood now beside him. He was less agitated, less power hungry. Of course, she was just as power hungry, maybe more, and she had strength to back her up. The small female was probably fast though. That really didn't matter in fighting though.
"I am called Crepusculum," she said, walking closer to them, so that there was a mere foot between them all. There was no other word she loved more than her name. The meaning was purely genius, purely dark. It meant dusk...or to some twilight. It was the time of the day that was her favorite, the time when the grazing creatures could see the least. They were vulnerable then. It was the beginning of the night.

She watched the foolish black and white female with her left eye, though she could hear her movements perfectly well, her head following the female as she moved to Dakota's right. Dakota almost rolled her eyes. Even though she was partially blind, her other senses had been enhanced to compensate for the loss. And they were definitely enhanced for the better.
Gematria watched the newcomer carefully, taking in her actions and realizing that perhaps she was after their lands. He did not care, for he did not see why there had to be a specific ruler of this so-called "pack". Could they not all share the responsibility of caring for each other? Gematria nearly laughed out loud but held it back, knowing that would make for quite the awkward situation. Them all caring for each other? Sure, Ariana and Fell would not mind but Dakota would throw a complete shit fit at the idea and he, well, he just doesn't like social interaction in general.
Sitting in a relaxed position, Dakota wrapped her thick black tail around her front feet and watched the female called Crepusculum walk closer. She was in lunging range, it made Dakota slightly uncomfortable but she did not display this emotion one bit. The wanna-be leader tilted her head at the name, feeling as if her parents had slighted her when they named her. She chuckled and shook her head at the thought, smirking as she looked back to Crep. "I am Dakota. These are our lands. We share them, well, try to. Is there a specific reason you have come here without announcing your presence at the border?" It was nearly strenuous to speak all those words for her. And to appear partially pleasant while speaking them was another story as well. Fell, the eldest male, looked at Dakota as if he were shocked that she had maintained such a calm tone. It was slightly chilling, for behind her calm tone could be hidden a meaning much darker than any of them could see.

Crepusculum studied the black's reaction to her movement and had a look of triumph on her face. Of course, the other wolf couldn't see that look. The female seemed to be able to hear her excellently though, even if she couldn't see her. If she made the other too agitated, the other would attack, and probably her mate, who was probably this ivory wolf. Crepusculum didn't normally fight, nor was she bothered at all by the lead wolf, as she appeared to be. It was clear that the ebony wolf was trying to control herself. How well was that working? She wouldn't know until she spoke.
Crep watched the other, the lesser of the wolves, tilt her head ever so slightly as she said her name. It was indeed impressive but only if the meaning was known. Dakota she thought as the black let it roll off her lips. Crepusculum snickered as she thought about it a little more before moving on to her next thought. Dakota's question brought that thought on, but it wasn't an excuse she wanted. Dakota wanted an answer.
Neither did this bother the multicolored she-wolf. She shifted her weight around, letting her muscles ripple under her fine pelt before daring to answer. With a flick of her tail, she said,"I want to live here." It was a simple but obvious answer. Hopefully, it would annoy her that Crep hadn't said anything else but that. To rule over you she added in her mind, but the threat was already present to Dakota. Is she scared? If she isn't, she has a reason to be she thought with a smirk.
It wasn't that Dakota wouldn't have a home, for she would. Crepusculum was make sure that the black female had respect for her, if she respected any. Maybe she wouldn't be so scared after a while, and she would challenge with her rage. Intelligence beat rage. If you're already calm, there's nothing to hold back. That was the key to battle. Fantasizing about ripping Dakota apart wasn't the thing to do now. Crep would have to bide her time.

A small smile settled almost sarcastically on Dakota's lips. "Well, perhaps that can be arranged." She said, her tone slightly clipped though she showed no sign aggression in her body language. Dakota held no fear towards any other. Some situations could make her possibly a little uncomfortable but she never feared anything. Gematria, the white male, stood and stretched as though he were bored and stepped a bit closer to Crepusculum. "What she means is, there is plenty of room, and you are more than welcome." For the male of few words, Dakota shot her friend a look that told him to back off. It always angered her when another decided her words weren't good enough. A snort erupted from her nose, almost indignantly and Gematria simply rolled his orange eyes at her, looking back to Crep.
The eldest male knew what this newcomer wanted. And he did not like it, not one bit. There was plenty of other land that she could rule over. Crep was making him slightly weary. She seemed a bit...off. However, he would not judge until he knew more about her. Fell did know one thing, though. She was not going to be his leader. His thoughts meandered back to an old friend. A male, of course, who was easily larger than this female that stood before them. However, Fell was not completely positive where Draighean was located these days. He snorted to himself. Well, if the need for him came, Fell would call.
