This fight was growing quite serious, as fights for land usually were. Dakota had not anticipated the pure ferocity of the larger female but had simply expected her to use her brute strength to gain the advantage. Dakota wanted to kick herself. However, she considered herself to be recovering. The adrenaline pumping through her system did not allow her to feel any pain, though she would most definitely feel it in the time after this fight was over. The queen would not leave her lands, whether she was the victor or not.
When Crepusculum flipped herself over, Dakota jumped back, narrowing missing the scratching claws of the larger wolf. She snarled and stood for a moment. At this current time, she considered them equals, and saw no way that this fight would end without one dead and the other severely injured. Dakota did not want either of them to die. A thought was forming in her mind. Though she knew Crep was not necessarily the type of female to step down, Dakota felt that they could possibly call a draw and set up some time of mutual agreement. This was a stretch, she knew, but it was worth a shot.
Before she got a chance to open her bloody mouth, a male voice carried from the shadows. Taunting was in the tone as maroon eyes fell on Dakota. "I knew I had recognized that name," he said simply, stepping in to the light, his gigantic form casting an even larger shadow across the grass. Dakota looked at him and snarled, not recognizing the male at first but after a moment she relaxed, slightly, and looked at him in the eyes.
"You dare distract us, Draighean? You should know better," there was a warning in her dark voice. Her eyes drifted to Crepusculum, who she had kept keen attention on in the case of a surprise attack.
The large black and white male laughed almost meniacally. "I knew we would meet again," Though Draighean was not particularly fond of Dakota, he had grown to like Fell, the male who had travelled with her when they met. His eyes went to Crepusculum as he waited to see what would happen next.
The smaller female kept her head high with confidence and she looked squarely at Crepusculum. "Clearly we are equally matched, though not in size but in mind. I do not want to leave my newly found home, as I know you would not want to leave your home, either. Therefore, I propose you let me stay. I will join you, as long as you do not torture me, or my comrades." Her voice did not waver, even as the pain started to steadily set in around her muzzle and her shoulder. She ignored it, continuing to hold a steady gaze at Crep.
