She smiled as she moved throught he familiar coastal land, hoping that Modet had not left here. There were five happy pups following after her, Sarabi a white female the image of her father, A white and russet female called Nala, a brown male called Mufasa, A black male called Kovu and a russet female called Kiara. She was very happy with them.
"Are we nearly there yet?" Sarabi asked. She was the one that felt the odd one out, being so light a colour. She was the most active though, and seemed particularly close to Mufasa. Kiara and Kovu were often playing but they always involved Nala in their games as well.
"We are home. this is Vernien En' Seere, kids." Clearwater smiled as she headed through the lands. Sorrel would come eventually. As would, Modet, hopefully.

Nala: The Gift The ivory and tan-red pup looked into the distance for a moment before returning to play with the rest of them. Nala was adventurous and playful, like the others, but she was also a good leader. They had been just born, tripping over their own feet sometimes. The tiny Nala ran up and nuzzled her mother before skidding into one of her brothers. "It's pretty here," she proclaimed. At least she thought it was.
Using her small claws, she grabbed on to a rock, using her small bit of strength to climb upon it. From there, she splashed in the relatively shallow waters. Nala lapped up some of the ocean water, spitting it out immediately. I knew it didn't look right she thought, locating a fresh water source with her pale eyes. Nala ran as quickly as she could over to the water and drank until her heart was content.
Mufasa: The Lion
Mufasa stared into the distant blackness, feeling like he could not play with the other pups. The movement and sounds of them traveled easily to him, but he could not see them. He wondered if they all were in a world of darkness or if they could make images in their mind. How do I look? he wondered, staying beside Sarabi. Out of them all, she had helped him to play in small amounts. Maybe, it was natural and he would get over it.
The young brute had stumbled around from day one, but all the others were too. It wasn't obvious until now that he was blinded. Mufasa was a great leader at heart, even better than Nala was. He knew that he might be wise beyond his years, like some of the great wolf leaders. He didn't expect much though, since, he felt like there was something wrong with him. Mufasa smelt one that had not been there before, suddenly. He howled loudly, trying to get his mother's attention. "There's someone here," he said.
Modet: The Experienced The leader of a pack for so long stepped off a large rock as his worry ceased to him. The red wolf smiled a little as he trotted upon the beaches freely. Modet missed his mate still, greatly, but now was a time for more important things. Their pups had moved on and were going to find mates of their own, but there was a new mother that he hoped had arrived. The brute had not memorized her scent, for she was not in his pack, but from the sounds, he guessed it was her. At last, Modet spotted her. Finally, the new mother returned, and luckily, she was not alone. Not in the least. Five pups circled around her in various ways. Some were playing; some were swimming, but one was just staring blankly into the distance. The pup was tense and was not playing. Modet didn't want to imply anything bad by it, but there was something wrong definitely with the brown pup. "Clearwater," said Modet, worry creasing his brow. "Your pup, the brown one," he directed his comment to. Mufasa just looked at him with his harks perked, listening. "I think he could be blind," Modet said with a sigh, breaking the news to her finally. It was always hard when pups had defects, but it wouldn't be the first time it happened. Modet had no blind pups in his small pack, but he would know the drill for it.

"Unfortunately, I figured that one out. Kiara also happens to be deaf." She paused. "Kiara's the russet one." She smiled though.
"Its alright, son, this is Modet, a close freind of mine. But not, your father."
"Nice to meet you," Sarabi exclaimed, jumping up to try and lick Modets nose.
Clearwater chuckled. "This is Sarabi." The one who took after Ghost in colour, she thought. "She's the oldest of them all."

Modet had sorely missed being around pups and raising them. This was his perfect chance to relive his past, and hopefully, he would have more joining his small pack soon. Now, it was only Snow Dawn - and Clearwater if she decided to stay. Modet didn't expect her to, for she was just in a predicament. After the pups grew up, she would be happily free to go where she wished. No doubt, Modet would still be close to this set of pups.
The brute shook his crown sadly as he looked to to the young russet female. "My daughter Keiria is deaf too," he related, wondering if the two could possibly be friends. His daughter was now an adult, as were all his daughters and sons, but maybe the gray female could help the young russet one learn to hunt and to live. Modet came down to the Sarabi, the ivory pup and smiled to her. She looked so much like Ghost, it was unbelievable. Modet wondered if she had his personality.
"It is nice to meet all of you," Modet said warmly, looking around to the group of five pups again. "What are all of you called?" asked he, wanting to get to know what to call them. It was rather rude to call them by their appearance. The brute was sure they all had beautiful names, and he wanted to know of their beauty.
Nala quickly ran up to the male, jumping around his ivory pillars. She didn't look like any of the others, but that didn't hurt any! Nala enjoyed the differences that she had apart from her brothers and sisters. "That's Mufasa," she said happily. Her brother was always serious, but he was noble, in a way and kind. "And Sarabi, Kiara, and Kovu," she said with a smile. "Mufasa is the brown one, Sarabi is the white one, Kiara's the russet one, and Kovu is the black one," she bounced, nudging him playfully. "I'm Nala!" she exclaimed.

"They have meanings to their names, though they know them not. Sarabi is mirage, Kiara is dark one, Kovu is scar for there is a rather ugly scar across one of his eyes, Musfasa is lion hearted, and Nala is gift," Clearwater said.
Sarabi was a little like a mirage, you could easily mistake her for Ghost. She was starting to become very active and wise.

The red-brown male looked happily over to the new pack. They were so lovely and beautiful to him even though they came from his deceased brother. Noticing the meaning of Kiara, he looked to her with worry. If there was anything that he didn't want, it was a dark minded pup. "Kiara..." he said softly to Clearwater, so that none of the other pups would hear their words. "Will she turn out to be....evil?" Modet asked, hoping that Clearwater could stop the change before it happened.
Mufasa trotted up to both of them, bumping into Modet as he heard them whispering after a while. "I'm a lion heart?" he asked, playfully jumping from paw to paw. The dark brown pup hoped that one day he was just like his father and Modet. "I hope I'm brave like a lion!" he exclaimed, laughing to himself as he jumped at his sister, Nala. They were great friends, and he could recognize her scent anywhere.

"I do not plan on it happening to her, though I did notice that she seemed drawn towards Draighien. I'm not pleased about that, it could mean trouble later on down the track." She sighed though, her eyes on the russet and white pup. Sarabi seemed to be content sitting near the waters edge, she seemed to be trying to get used to it.

Modet nearly gasped at the darkness that seemed to revolve around the small russet female. It was terrible that it wanted her so badly. The lands of evil could want her too, for all they knew. If she was drawn to them too much, there would be nothing to stop her once she was an adult. There were quite dangerous wolf lands around, where the most dangerous wolves resided. One in particular, that Modet feared and hated was Draighean. The other was his queen, Crepusculum.
The looked dismally to her as he felt that things would not work out well. "We must keep her away from Africa. That is where Draighean and Crepusculum rule," he said, looking over the horizon to that direction. The valley was also a terrible place to live, with Blade and his minion wolf living there. His dearest daughter, Jaile, had gone to live in the valley. After that, he had not heard from her. Modet worried every day for his daughter and wished her happiness.

"We can only do what we can. When she's grown up, lets hope that we've done enough to stop her from going any of the places that lure her." She sighed, knowing that darkness had already taken her pup somehow. It was not something she was overly pleased about. Would they want a deaf wolf in that land of darkness? She hoped not. "It won't be easy keeping her here, though the fact she is deaf may be something against her when it comes to those dark hearts."

Modet nodded, agreeing that they would do everything they could. "We must isolate her from the evils of the world," he said softly, knowing that an unknowing pup could not easily choose to pass through the would in an evil state. Only if she was truly dark at heart, she would be lured to the lands regardless of what they did. Would the dark rulers choose her? If they did not, she could end up bloodied and dead.
"Or," he paused briefly for a moment. "It could make things worse," he said with a sigh. "If she was born evil, no amount of words will get to her. She cannot hear our kind words," Modet said to her finally, looking back to the russet pup. "The others can hear our voices and encouragements through life - she cannot," he said, walking up to the small pup. This was a test. Before her, he put a baby rabbit. Before they got to be a few months old, most pups would play with it. Savage ones would kill it.

"Which was the wolf you mentioned earlier? She might be able to help us with Kiara. Worth a try," Clearwater said. Her daughter stared at the rabbit, trying to understand what her parents were talking about. She couldn't hear a word. "What are you... talking about?" she asked. She did not know what to do with the rabbit.

Modet thought about her question she asked, wondering who exactly she meant. There were two she had mentioned - Snow Dawn and Crepusculum. The thought of sending the pup to Crep was out of his mind totally, so he concluded that she was speaking of his mate. She was the one who had taken care of their beautiful pup, Keiria. "You mean Snow Dawn? She is my queen and travels around with me. If you like, she could come here to speak with Kiara," Modet said, looking down at the confused pup.
The brute nudged the rabbit as the pup spoke making it jump. It was an encouragement to play with it. If she showed any bit of viciousness towards it at this age, it could be a bad sign. Pups weren't supposed to learn to hunt until they were a few months old. These were still newborns.

"If Snow Dawn would be able to help that would be good." This was her first litter, and things were turning out to be quite tricky. Then Kiara snapped her teeth at the rabbit, an it fled. "Oh dear..." Sarabi pounced and Kovu seemed to join in, the rabbit seemed to like them a lot more than the russet and white pup.

Modet watched every pup's reaction to the young rabbit as it stood there. He took watch as Kiara snapped at it first, an early sign of aggression. It was not normal, not at all for such a young pup to have an urge to kill. Those were the ones that prove to be dangerous. The reaction of the others was definitely normal, for Modet could remember days when he was a puppy when he played with rabbits. Never had he a will to end their lives though until he aged several months.
"That....was interesting. And, yes, I'll get her here as soon as I can," he mused, a bit worried for the small pack of pups. Soon enough, Nala joined in playfully. At first, she sniffed the rabbit for a moment, moving around to paw it playfully like the others did. Once, she licked it, and it ran a few steps, just to be followed by the giggling pup. Mufasa was more interested than willing to fight it. The earth hued pup kind of just walked around it, feeling its soft fur with his muzzle and smiling at it. He didn't know exactly what it was.

Sarabi looked over as she saw her other sister watching them with a somewhat disgusted look on her face. "Whats wrong with you, Kiara?" she asked. No reply did she get save for a look of confusion on the russet and white sister's face. Why didn't she reply?
