Ok, this is how to make a simple Manip.
First, amke sure you have either Photoshop or Gimp on your Computor, if not then you can Google Gimp and get ti for free.
Second, go to deviantart and get a background image, make sure it is in the 'recourses and stock images' Section and make sure you take note of the name of the person that you got it from, your gonna need to put credits on the image.
Next, get a picture of a horse, if you are just starting out then I would get a horse that is standing still, cos shadows can be a bitch to do on moving horses. Get your horse opened up in gimp, find the path select tool, and go all around the outline of the horse, when you get to cutting out the mane and tail you dont have to get all the straggly bits, as long as you have the main body of the hair. When you are coming to the end of your path select, click 'selection from path' and it will select the image of your horse. Right click on the horse and copy it, then right click again and click; Paste as >> New brush. Give it a pretty name and wait for it to load.
