Ok Dawntango and I wrote this together..... Tell us what you think!
Hunting Dark trees twisted together, reaching for the dark, clouded sky. A lone figure ran through the forest, tripping over roots and rocks and looking over his shoulder, gold eyes wide with terror. He breathed heavily, panting and dripping with sweat. He wore long black leggings with strange runes embroidered on them with gold thread. His long green and brown tunic ripping as the branches grabbed at him, tangling in the material.
Suddenly a flash of motion caught his attention. He spun around, drawing his long gleaming, silver sword.
A cold chuckle filled the air. “Do you really think you could stop me with that?” From between the trees a tall, slim figure appeared.
“What do you want?” The man said, his voice shrill with fear. The figure laughed and dashed forward with blinding speed until he was an inch from his nose.
“Dinner.” The strange looking hunter whispered menacingly in his ear. The man froze with terror, knowing this was the end.
“I’m not afraid of you.” The man squeaked, trying to hide the icy dread flowing through his veins.
“Really? How interesting. I always enjoy my food being brave. Though it is quite fun when they run.” The hunter said, smiling almost pleasantly.
The man swung his sword at the hunter. His luminous blade hit only empty air. He spun around again, looking for his tormentor.
The hunter was behind him, grinning.“Nice try. But I never let my dinner escape me for long anyway.”
“You’re a monster!” The man screamed.
“Is it any different from you hunting a deer? The only difference is that you speak aloud.”
The man turned to run but the hunter was suddenly beside him, pinning his arm behind his back.
“You cannot outrun me. You cannot hide. You cannot fight me. You can only die.” The hunter said coldly, his blood-red eyes gleaming with anticipation.
“Why? Why must you do this?” The man gasped. The hunter cocked his head, coal black hair shifting to show pointed ears.
“For the same reason you eat. The deer is your prey, you are mine.” The hunter lunged forward, teeth bared with a strange black liquid dripping from them.
