Dark Sunrise entered the lands, her deep blue roan coat glossy under the glare of the sun. She knew she was one of the most beautiful faes in the land, having hand many a stag fight for her. And yet it was always Sorrel, her Sorrel, who always won her back. "Sorrel," she called, nudging the foal by her feet in front of her.
She was proud to bare him his first heir and son, together they would raise him. Showing a soft side that rarely surfaced, she nuzzled the colt. "Welcome Thyrza, to your home," she murmered to her dark son.
Time seemed to be moving so slowly while Dark Sunrise was away having her foal. Our heir. I wondered though whether he would be anything like me, or whether he was going to dark like she had been once. I hoped not, for it took a lot to get that out fo her and help her to change to the mare i knew she was. Then as I grazed I heard her calling to me. Snorting and raising my head I headed off, in search of my queen. "Sunrise..." I murmured, seeing her and the little foal by her side.
Sunrise pushed him forwards and the shy colt moved towards his father. "Hello," he said brightly and Sunrise smiled and nuzzled her king. "Meet our son, Thyrza," she said, introducing the colt to his father. She sighed, but smiled. The colt may look like her, but it soul was his fathers.
