OOC : Havent rped Quiet Whisper in a while so..
She ducked her head under a branch and continued along her way. It had been a while since she had come here, with her king. But she didn't seem to get along with the others so well, to her.. They were different to she. Well, of course they were, they didn't have a bird hanging around them 24/7. She had finally lost the La'ru, or rather it had disappeared off somewhere. She knew it was planning something. She called out to her king, boredom was getting the best of her, she wanted excitement.

Radiant eyes of the lightest twinkling blue peered from their hideaway as movement echoed within ebony harks. The bark of the trees was calling to him, telling him that he was needed in another place than his current standing. Pillars extended in a forward motion gracefully as he lowered his crown slightly and perked his harks. Feathery wings were tucked to his side, and there was no need to use them for such a short traveling distance. As Fantasma progressed, he noticed that it was not an ally nor enemy, but it was one of his own mares that wanted to see him.
Fantasma smiled a little his he looked to her glistening purple eyes with awe. Her beauty had always held his attention, since the moment he had met her. The king's heart jumped a notch as he got closer to the earth hued vixen. "Hello, Quiet Whisper," he said gently, letting the new-found knowledge in his eyes take over his features. Recently, he had been fed a great deal of information from neighboring kings, queen, and sub herding stags and faes. It had brought him to the conclusion that they would never rid the world of evil, but there would be plenty of fighting in the process.
"How have you been?" he asked sweetly, hoping she was enjoying her stay in his herd. Fantasma had been meaning to ask her something, for the time was nearing for him to choose a fae as his queen - the rightful mare to rule beside him in Forest of Mysteries. His decision had mostly been made up, and he wanted to ask her opinion of his choosing. Most mares would be delighted, but some others would be rather appalled.

She turned to see her king land before her. "Greetings Fantasma." She replied as he greeted her. At least she had some company now, she smiled at him. Maybe today wouldn't be so boring. Her purple eyes looked skyward, watching if her bird would return at any moment, but they turned back to her king. She thought for a second when he asked her the question of her welfare. "I am perfectly fine." She said but then she sighed. "Although a little lonely and bored.. It seems the others.. Do not like me that much." She looked up again. "Maybe it's because of my.. Companion. Maybe I should leave." She felt sadness grip her heart.
The La'ru flew over head, it's body jerked as it felt the sadness and quickly made to return to Quiet Whisper, this was what it had been waiting for.. Some sign of loneliness, some sign that she wasn't needed or didn't want to be here. "Fae..." It whispered inside her head. "I don't want you to be unhappy.." It lied. "We should go.. He does not need, nor want you.. I saw, it's all an act he puts on.." He felt Quiet Whisper tremble.

The ebony Alicorn was slightly displeased at his other mares - that they would not enjoy the company of such a lovely fae. "I am very sorry that they have not spoken much to you. Soon, there will be a herd meeting to introduce everyone so that they can truly meet you," he said with a sigh, knowing that things in any particular land had not been organized. Outside wars had brought upon internal ones as well as external ones. No one seemed to be able to concentrate when they were going on.
Fantasma nodded his crown ruefully as she spoke of her leaving. Dearly, he would miss her if she wanted to depart from his life, but it wasn't his call to make. The feathered creature that stayed with her always had been tempting her from the moment she came, Fantasma knew, to leave and never come back. "You may leave, but only if it brings you happiness that you cannot find here," he said painfully, wanting so badly for her to be within the forest forever. Things changed as the time of day did - as the sun rose and set upon the horizon. Feelings changed.
"You're lying," the king stated bluntly, looking into the blood red eyes of the La'ru. "If I didn't love her more than anything else in the world, I wouldn't be wishing with all my heart for her to be my queen," Fantasma said, quivering slightly from his words. He hadn't expected them to be so rushed or loquacious. Wasn't this supposed to be a moment of awe, one to remember forever? Well, they were all in awe, for none were speaking. Fantasma looked to her, waiting for some sort of reply, some sort of cue.

Quiet Whisper turned and vanished. She hadn't suspected that he had wanted her as his queen. She didn't know what to say, or what to do. She just needed some 'alone time' right now. She didn't know whether to trust either of them. Yet she was pleased when the La'ru didn't follow her, but she felt something wrong was to happen. She hoped Fantasma would be alright. She hid herself a while away, so she was in range to hear if anything went wrong.
"Well that was a bit blunt, wasn't it?" The La'ru cackled. It had stayed behind, to have a little chat to him. He moved over a picked a few berries from a bush, ones that could kill when eaten. He held them in his talon. His bloodied eyes staring at Fantasma. "When she dies.. Then I'll finally be able to be free from you damned creatures.. It's too bad when she dies that you'll have nothing left of her anyway.." He snickered. He turned his back on Fantasma. "The poor little alicorn who lost his queen, before she even accepted the invitation.." He took flight, heading off to another direction. He had to get things ready, before she died.

Fantasma stood in the open clearing in the forest, feeling more vulnerable than he had since he was a tiny foal. The climax had not arrived to this twisted plot line of the La'ru yet, he observed. His eyes drifted from the lovely queen to be and laid themselves upon the deceitful bird. At every chance, Fantasma had noticed its trickery and free flowing words. They were so convincing that Fantasma almost believed the very lies it told about him. That had to be part of it - part of what it was.
Clenching his ivories together, his let tension coarse through his large form. So badly, he wanted this villain to be gone from her life forevermore. That task was an impossible one, and even if he did manage to take it away from her, Fantasma was certain it would kill her in the process. "I should have been able to say it at any time. She's the only one I want to be my queen," he said truthfully, not knowing whether or not she could hear him. The truth was the only way to fight the deception that the creature was giving off with every breath he took. It was tainting everything it landed its sharp talons upon, whoever it spoke to. The king was strong; he would not let himself be affected.
"You will do nothing to her," he stated simply, wondering if he could truly protect her from the creature if the time came for it. Fantasma galloped off, spreading his slender ebony wings as he prepared for flight. It was easier to soar through the sky, and it was much faster and reliant. Soon enough, he was sailing through the sky, next to the La'ru. Fantasma would get to the end of his evil scheme.

The La'ru twisted in the sky as the Alicorn flew next to it. It screeched and lifted higher. "Don't think, you can tell me what to do.. If I die, she will live, but in agony. I am a part of her, you cannot rid of me, without hurting you're 'precious queen'." It laughed and suddenly dropped, slowing as it raked its talons across the Alicorn's back. He turned and flapped its wings so it lay just under Fantasma's right wing. "If I don't succeed.. Then how would you like the Grim coming after you..?" It turned on it's back and made a grasp for Fantasma's wing. It turned once again and flew a couple metres away from Fantasma.

The sky blue eyes let the gleam drift away from them as hope seemed to diminish from them. "There are a variety of options to rid you of this world. Isn't that what you want? Or are you just so sick that you would want to see her die a terrible death?," the stag questioned, locking his concentration to the bird's every movement. Fantasma wondered if there were actually options to end her pain and suffering once and for all. Illusion was one way, for she possessed such a great power that made every other being beneath her look weak and hopeless, even creatures like the bird.
Fantasma flinched as the razor sharp talons pierced his back, letting blood trickle down his ebony pelt like a small stream of its own. Twisting his form painfully in the sky, he reached his horn to touch the small wound on his back. Quickly, thin layers of skin began to form again upon his body as it healed to its normal ebony hue. "You don't intimidate me," Fantasma stated without emotion, letting things take their course as they would. Fright was not something that the greatest of kings could have. It was something they left behind when they stepped up to the throne.
Saying that he didn't fear the Grim was something he could not utter. It was nothing but lies, and the only distinction between him and the other Alicorn mix that he disliked was lies and truth. "Don't do this," he pleaded, dodging the attempt the bird made to snatch his wing. Fantasma flew after him, keeping a safe but secure distance from the bird. Fear of him hurting Quiet Whisper kept him from killing the bird. Hate of the bird kept him from spending as much time with his future queen as he should.

"Death.. Is a powerful and wonderful thing.." The La'ru replied. It twisted in the air again. It looked for a target of attack, and found a suitable one in seconds. His horn.. But it might receive some hurt as well. Regardless it increased its speed, hovering above the horn. It's eyes locked upon Fantasma's eyes than upon his horn. It tucked its feet up and dropped, it landed on the horn as if it were standing on a perch.
It began to bite at the horn with it's beak, but found it unsuccessful and turned. "Maybe.. I should pluck out you're eyes instead.." It seemed to hiss, but it lost it's footing and found itself tumbling towards earth. It regained flight after a few seconds and flew after the Alicorn once more. "Don't do this." The bird imitated the Alicorn, and chuckled. "Why.. Should I?" It screeched and increased its speed once again.

Nothing was unbelievable now, especially since he was communicating with a creature that normally, kings didn't speak to. Only because it was a part of his love, was he tolerating it. "You're hurting her more than helping her," he muttered, trying not to pay attention the the pecking the bird did to his horn. "How do I know you're not lying to me, just giving me reasons not to kill you?" Fantasma mused aloud, wondering truly what its ulterior motive was in this crazy plot.
It had to be a cloy, something to trap him in misery for the rest of his life. Something to trap his queen in misery and eventually death. Without it, Fantasma guessed she would be miserable. With it, she would have a constant annoyance. Nothing would be peaceful! "How can I get you to leave without her dying?" he asked, wanting to make a useful compromise. It could stay away for the remainder of her life, Fantasma supposed. Wasn't it its job to bother her, to bother him? So many questions, but he suspected few answers would come from the beak of the bird.
Fantasma couldn't think of a single thing to offer the creature to make its existence less irritable. Some kings offered others mares or certain gifts, things the other was interested in. Nothing seemed to interest the foul creature other than gore, death, and violence. It was, indeed, what the hellions were interested in. They were two of a kind, but instead, it chose to constantly annoy someone like Quiet Whisper. She was so different than the hellions. It even seemed like she hated them! Yet, she was cursed somehow by these things of death. They were drawn to her.

"I'll never leave Quiet Whisper, we're bound together by the Grim's black magic." It laughed. It turned away from the Alicorn, bored of it. It started to speak aloud to itself, as if the Alicorn wasn't even there.. "Alrighty then.. All I gotta do, is go see the Grim and bring him to her.. Then he'll take her as his mount, as Corus was once.. Then she'll have a little personality change.." It laughed hysterically. "Excellent." It turned and flew off in another direction, towards Quiet Whisper.
