Starlight Moon. She moved within the trees with the same grace she'd always had. her dark pelt hiding from twilight to daybreak in the dark. Her first daughter had gone from them, and now it was time for another to come. "Cadifor?" she called. He would come, he always did when one of them called him.
He heard her call and steadily made his way to her. Starlight Moon, one of his first mares, had beckoned him and he could not refuse a call of one of those he loved. "Hello, love," he said smoothly as he approached her, smiling gently as he took in her black form. She still looked like she had when he had first brought her home, when he had first met her. It made him happy to see her standing here after so long. Times had changed and wars had come and gone, but she was still here in his home for him.
Through the darker times there had always been hope for me. I was safe in this land, I had fought against Corus and my legs were badly scarred from several wolves I had fought off, but other than that I was perfectly fine. When he came now though towards me, I smiled at him. "Cadifor."
He smiled. "It's good to see you are well," Cadifor said softly. "I'm sorry I have not been able to keep much contact with you. I've been busy.." He frowned slightly, feeling badly that he had left one of his loves alone in his lands. "Is there something you need?" The king raised his deep, brown eyes to look at her and smiled.
She sighed as she looked at him with her loving gaze. There was not going to be a reason why she would ever leave him. She smiled though as he spoke to her, and she knew that he would always be the one for her.
"Perhaps, seeing as our last daughter has left us to find her own place in the world, it is time for another to be born?"
Cadifor smiled at her request. Though he had had an idea of what it was she wished for, it was pleasing to know she wanted to bear another of his blood. The gray and white stag stepped towards her, touching his nose gently to hers, happiness lingering in his gaze. "If that is what you wish for, my love, then I will give it to you," he brushed his cheek against hers and pulled back, smiling at her gently and lovingly.
ooc ;; sorry ero for the short post, but im really tired =(
"Thank you." She was as pleased as he likely was that she would be able to bear another foal. Maybe there would be others. "Let's see if we can get a colt this time, eh?" She chuckled though, the gender of their foal did not really matter for her.
There was nothing she wanted more though than a son of her own. So far all his foals had been female.
