Clearwater "Though I shall describe it, it is better as something to see instead fo hear of."
I paused, closing my eyes to think of how to describe my homeland.
"Vernien En' Seere, or Coast of Peace, has a large bay at one end. The sandy beach is pure white and clean. It is a favoured place for the horses, whether foals, yearlings, young adults or really old horses to roll and play. There are often water fights in the shallows of the sea and a fresh water stream runs through the middle of the land, dividing it in half. There is plenty of fresh grass for all. It is a safe haven for anyone."

Ghost imagined the landscape in his mind as she spoke of it. It seemed like a beautiful place to cool off in the waters on hot days. The fresh stream would also provide good drinking water, and it would be nice to feel that breeze and salty smell of the sea. As well as being beautiful, it was also safe from harm, she was saying. The grass did not come in handy for himself, for he was a wolf and ate meat. Having good, soft grass was good for napping during the day hours. "It sounds beautiful," he said, smiling.

"Of course there is plenty of prey for us as well. Sorrel asks though that we do not kill anything near the water edges though. Also that bury the bones as well. It is not something he likes to see though he understands that we do hunt other animals and he is able to allow that. Just no horses are to be hurt." I smiled. "Beautiful land, and there is a lot of space there."

Ghost was very pleased to hear that there were nice animals to feed on and catch. He favored small deer and rabbit, not horses. Sorrel's mares and himself would be in no danger from him. "Those are very reasonable rules," he said gladly. This horse seemed to be very wise and seemed to understand the wolves better than some horses. Some horses believed that wolves were evil hunters just meant to kill others. Of course, there were some bad wolves, but there were also good wolves. Some of their hatred could be justified though like the wolves' hatred towards humans could be justified. It's only rational to hate something that taken things away from you and hurt you. Ghost was not one of the wolves that needed to be hated though. He believed that both wolf and horse could coexist. If only the hearts of others could be changed to believe this too..

Zoe's eyes widened as she watched her newly adopted mother quietly. The place sounded wonderful. "Can we go," she breathed, sounding excited already for the idea of exporing a new land and making friends with other animals.

As he was exploring the deep thoughts of hatred, he noticed that Zoe was very excited to begin the journey. Can we go? he heard, an excited look on her face. Ghost would love to begin their way to the great paradise. He would meet the wonderful stallion that Clearwater had been talking about, Sorrel and his mares.

"I must warn you, Ghost, that Sorrel will only ever see me as the leader of this pack. That is because I was in his old land in the mountains as a pup before I got taken. We played together, a foal and a pup."
I smiled and then spoke once more. "We shall go now."
I leapt to my feet easily, and started to move in the direction of my home. I was sure that they would love it.

Ghost understood the bond between the wolf and the horse stayed forever and that Sorrel would be partial to Clearwater. He nodded, agreeing that Sorrel would always think her the lead of the newly formed wolf pack. "I see," he said. "I'm very excited to meet Sorrel. He seems like a friendly stallion," he said genuinely. Ghost rose after her, agreeing that it was time to depart from these lands. He began to follow Clearwater, looking back at Zoe.
