Zena
I moved around my black coat shone in the light and my silver horn glowed brightly. i moved around on one side of a large river on which i had found this place. i jumped in and swam to the other side and started to graze happily at the green grass taking a sip of water from time to time. i felt odd for the horn on my head had only been in my mothers blood line twice before hand and now it was three.

He walked in, knowing immediately that this was the place for lovers to meet. Well, the fae he would meet weren't exactly lovers yet, for he didn't know who she would be yet. His kind, bright orbs looked around, eagerly as he moved forward. Hugo knew that mares were in heat all around, but he had promised himself to take his time with the beautiful fae he laid his eyes upon.
Hugo laid his eyes upon her suddenly. A shimmering ebony coat she had with a horn protruding from her delicate crown. The stag had to talk to her. Trotting up to her, he just just that. ]"Greetings, miss. My calling is Hugo. May I ask what your is?" he said, a small smile forming upon his maw.

Zena
i looked up as a stallion came up "Greetings Hugo, my name is Zena" i said and smiled. my silver eyes looked at the stallion and my horn sort of glowed when i thought i might have a home but knew i should wait a bit first so i got to know him more. i looked around me and heard calls of other horses wanting homes knowing then that this was the claiming grounds.

Hugo's orbs of blue took in her beauty as they smiled, along with his features. "That is quite a beautiful name, Zena," he said softly, as it appealed to his harks so wonderfully. The roan walked closer to the river, taking a sip but looking up with hope to see her horn illuminated. Many were here to find a home, but Hugo sensed that she just recognized it. Hugo had come to find mares for his soon to be sub herd. Then again, he didn't exactly know where they would go.
Any place appealed to Hugo, any place that she would enjoy living in. He thought all the territories were extremely beautiful. There were few places he would not choose to live in. The first desert was one because there was too much evil lingering within those lands. It bothered him to be that close to killing; it was dangerous to him and any mare that would come to reside with him.
To Zena, he looked back, stepping closer, wondering which place she thought was beautiful. The grassy forests had always appealed to him...they called to him or the mountains. If she had other places in mind, Hugo would not mind. He would live there too, loving every minute of it. Others he would have to find for his small herd though. Zena was the first, the most special to him already.

Zena
i smiled as he said he liked my name "thank you it is nice" i said and watched him walk and get a drink from the river looking up at me. i looked around me so i knew that i would not have to choose between two stallions and smiled partly "what type of land do you like Hugo mine is in a forest which i find myself in a lot" i said smiling happily and looked at him like i had never to a stag before i think this was the stallion i would go with.

Hugo walked quietly with her to the river where she sipped on the fresh water. No others were around, no challengers. The stag couldn't see why. To him the most beautiful fae of the lands was right before him. More and more things were in common as the conversation went on, Hugo found. "The forests of the world are the lands I love the most. Which forest land here is the best for us though?" he asked, wanting to know what she thought.
The storm colored stag knew that not many lived in Thunder Meadow, Zena's choice was the final one; Hugo believed that mares should always get the say. She will be my queen he thought to himself as he looked back to her. The stag lowered his head slowly to get a mouthful of the green Alaknanda grass. The only territory that was warming up yet was the desert. It had no grass though, so it didn't really count. This place always seemed slightly warmer, slightly nicer than the rest.

I smiled we loved the forest and that i liked it " well i have heard a little about each and thunder meadows seems to be the best place for us" i said calmly. i watched were i was carefully for if i came back here which i never would i would know were to go. i looked around and started taking a few mouth fulls of grass and laughed as my horn bumped a tree and almost got stuck. i pulled back and looked up at my horn and started laughing harder there was a long pice of bark on the top of my horn.

Hugo smiled happily. It seemed that they had so much in common, especially when speaking of place to live. "That's what I was thinking!" he said with joy. It seemed as if she was always on the same page as he was, always thinking the same thing. They were a perfect match.
The gray chuckled as her horn nearly got stuck in a tree. As it came out, he saw a piece of bark on it. Hugo laughed with her, loving every aspect of her personality. She was fun to be around, a good leader, and thought like him. These are all the wonderful things that make a queen he thought. Hugo wouldn't tell her yet that she was though. He would wait a bit.

i smiled at him as he said that was what he had been thinking. i smiled more when he started laughing with me about the bark on my horn "the hard part is getting it off with out magic" i said and smiled i liked giving myself a bit of a challenge sometimes. i moved around so i was standing to Hugos side and reached over with my horn so it was at the other side of his body and pulled my horn out and the bark fell to the ground "there thats better" i said and smiled.

Hugo smiled at her as she attempted to rid herself of the piece of bark. The stag chuckled as she got it off in the most peculiar way, with him. As it fell to the ground, he was amazed at her smart plan. "That was crafty," he said, nuzzling her slender neck gently and smiling. Hugo playfully nipped at her tassles as she stood there with him. He looked at her in such a way that she would have to know he had something in mind.
"Zena, I know what position you will have in my herd," he said softly, deciding to tell her now. He kept her in suspense a moment, just bursting with joy to tell her. "You will be my queen, only if you wish," he said softly, waiting for her reply.

Hugo was taken off guard by the fact that she said no at first, but laughed when she said yes. The other great thing about Zena was that she was playful and fun to be around. Hugo had always wanted that in a queen. "Shall we go, my dear?" he asked, ready to dart off to Thunder Meadow when she was. He could not wait. The gray hoped that Phoenix would let him sub herd. They would have to go elsewhere if he wouldn't.

i smiled "we shall go sorry if i took you of guard before but i wanted to have a little fun" i said and smiled then jumped into and galloped then slid to a stop waiting for Hugo to take the lead so i did not go the wrong way at all. i smiled again then started trotting to were i knew the forest were but i did not know were the land was completely and just smiled as a waited for him to come up beside me.

Hugo took off at a light lope, enjoying the sweet springtime air. He looked to her, charging on into a gallop, challenging her. The grey knew just the way to Thunder Meadow, and they would not go wrong at all. None would mess with them, he knew. Zena and he would take the safest most discreet paths around the territories. It may take longer, but being safe is always the priority he thought as he began to leave her at the gallop.
The stag slowed down, looking back. "You coming?" he asked playfully, as he saw her trotting behind. Through creeks and grassy fields they would travel. Through the rugged coast and through the scorching desert they would go, finally reaching the first forest - Thunder Meadow. Hugo could not wait to see its beauty and perfection.
