No sound reached her ears, no sights reached her nose, no lyrics floated from her shapely muzzle. Even around others, she was alone in the sancutary of her mind. Though, nowdays it was more of a prision then a sanctuary.
Spots danced on her fur pelt, colours of grey and brown highlighted her graceful movements as they brushed against teh moist green grass. It was nearing spring she guessed, seeing as the soft snow melted under a light touch of a paw.
She paused, her paw poised before her as she sniffed the air. Scents, all stronger to her then some of her kind, where both faes and brutes mingled together. Her touch was so sensitive,m the cold made her shudder involuntary and shiver in the gentle breeze. This was her first time alone, being been forced to leave her pack and surive in the wild she was yet to see.
OOC: this will be both a challnge for me and who ever replies...please be nice to my newest baby XD

I trotted through the island named Alaknanda, musing over its name. Why anyone named it Alaknanda, I didn't know. Still, it had a nice ring in its name. Alaknanda. It seemed to fit. Or maybe that was just because I had never heard it called by any other real name.
I smelled only one she-wolf here, which gave me a bit of a turn. Then again, this was the realm of horses more than wolves. Still, I had hoped that there was another as well.
Too bad, I guessed. I moved towards her, my brown coat splashed with white along my legs, chest, and the tip of my tail. My throat too, was white, and my eyes, once blue, had turned a deep, dark brown.
"Hello," I said to the she-wolf, bowing.
Then I realized something ever so important.
Where my eyes and ears flicked at every sound, her's remained still, not even moving when I spoke.
I knew that reaction. Or lack of it, rather. This she-wolf was deaf, and possibly blind as well.
I knew how to speak to those who were deaf, for my younger sister, Keiria, was. But blind as well?
This would take some doing.
I approached her carefully, then brushed my wet nose against her's, sniffing her face with interest, taking in her scent, and inviting her to do the same.

Her head turned, not for a noise but rather a scent. It was male, that much was clear, and a wolf not a horse. He had a musky scent she declaired quietly to herself and wondered what he would do. She could not see him, nor hear him, so how would they talk?
She guesed that he would leave her, going off to find some beauty to mate with. So, it was a suprise when a wet nose brushed against her's and sniffed, for the cool, fresh breath coated her sensitive nose. Hesiantly, her maw reached towards him, landing somewhere on his large chest and nuzzled the soft fur. "Lupita..." she murmered hoping that he understood it was her name.

I wagged my tail as she said a quiet word. No, a name; 'Lupita.' Intrigued, I brought my front paw down twice in a quick THUMP-THUMP pattern, over the same spot. Among my brothers, sisters, and my parents, this was a common thing to be done around our fifth sibling, the grey wolf named Keiria. Straight down twice meant yes. Four times, two to the right, two to the left, meant no. I wondered if Lupita would understand it to mean "Yes, I know what your name is."
A challenge, in a way, was communicating to Lupita, for without sight nor sound, it was hard to express anything.
I tapped the ground twice again, though this time it was different, more like the clattering of puppies' claws on hard stones. 'Second,' was what I wanted to tell her. I was the second born of my mother, Snow Dawn.

Her head shifted, feeling the different movements around her and tried to puzzle them out. Her own mother had used something similar, but it didn't seem quite the same.
Slowly, she smiled, glad that someone seemed to understand who she was and what was wrong. Ignoring the rest of what he said and barely understanding it anyways, she stepped forwards and licked him on the cheek and giggled.
She shivered again at a slightly breeze, the chill cutting right past her coat and she froze, sniffing the air. Something was coming.
OOC: hehehe good post XD

I stiffened as she licked my cheek, surprise etched on my brown face, my white muzzle crinkling a bit. Suddenly, I was immensely glad that she couldn't see my sudden lack of poise and surety.
Getting over it within the space of a few seconds, I licked her back, putting a paw on her shoulder gently, a smile on my face, my tail wagging faster than my eyes could follow. Not that I was trying. I was too busy looking at the grey and brown she-wolf.
Then I tensed as she did, sniffing the air worriedly. I instinctively shifted in front of her, my hackles raised slightly. My brown eyes flickered through the trees, watching, waiting.
OOC: XD, thanks muchly.

Her soft nose wrinkled as he licked her, but she smiled in return of the kind gesture and looked towards the trees where the scent was coming from. She felt him shift and also moved to her feet, teeth pulled back into a snarl despite being unable to see, and something left the safety of the dense forest. It was yellow, thick tuffs of mane splayed out all over its body. Eyes, which she could not see, where rich brown in colour and seemed to be eyeing the easy prey. IT was a mountian lion, used to getting what she wanted.
The cat lept forwards, aiming for the unsuspecting she-wolf and cried her terrible war cry.
OOC: I have no idea what im doing here..hehehe

I sprang at the beast, my mouth wide as I slammed into it, feeling its claws rip into my coat, causing blood to pour down my sides as it dug in.
I ripped at its throat with my teeth, my ever sharpened claws opening narrow, deep cuts in the yellow cat's belly.
It rolled on top of me and I kicked it, wincing at the pain when its claws were ripped free of my hide.
I jumped onto its back as it rolled, biting at its spinal cord with a single-minded determination.
Finally, past the fur and the tough skin, I broke through and snapped its neck with a few well placed bites.
The beast fell, and I fell with it, lying in shallow water, feeling a slight pull from the current. Blood flowed from my wounds, my fur matted by what little of it had started to dry, but it disappeared as the water ran over it slowly.

Lupita could not hear, but every movement she felt as they grappled on the floor infront of her. She hoped he was okay, her understanding friend, but being unable to see ment that she had no idea who had won.
Stepping forwards, she bumped into a body with smelt of lion and was covered in blood. Her sensitive nose recoiled at the scent and with another step forwards she felt the rush of the river before her. She knew the beast was dead, but where was the wolf?

I stood shakily after a few minutes, feeling slightly dizzy, and walked over to Lupita, lying down almost immediately next to her, my body shivering a bit at the suppressed pain.
"Well, I think that's a new one..." I said to myself quietly, licking Lupita's shoulder a bit, to let her know I was okay.

She smelt him before she felt him, his coat which had been soft only moments before was now thick and matted with blood though, it seemed he had washed most of it off. He licked her shoulder and she felt his shivering bodice and huffed a sigh and pulled away, moving back towards the bank and sat, waiting for him.
There was nothing she could do, she could barely speak and talk to him. She couldn't even hear his voice, nor see his handsome beauty. Illusion... the name appeared in her mind like a calling, beckoning her. Illusion... tha name came again.
"Illusion," she murmered, though the tone was rather flat and the vowels barely alike but the meaning came across.

Oh, I had to think on that one a second before I understood what she meant. "Hidden Illusion! She can grant your wishes." I yipped, circling around her with a prancing step that was only slightly hindered by a limp in my leg. Stupid kitty-cat.... Ah well. Hidden Illusion!
I thumped twice, straight down, then brushed my nose into her fur. I'd take her to the land of wishes...

She laughed loudly, able to feel his enthusiam even unable to see or hear it. The thumps, she understood were a yes and he seemed to want to take her somewhere. A smile tugged at her lips as he nuzzled her and she licked him back. Standing, she waited for him to lead her having quite no idea where they were going.
OOC: new thread?
