Well as you most likey had noticed, I am kinda slow and not a very good descriptive writer Though I am working on it, we still need season changes. So here is the newest comp.
The Comp: The idea is to write a piece for Summer, Aumtumn, Winter and Spring. You can do one or all of them, thats your choice. The best ones will be chosen (maybe even voted for) and used. Each season I might be using the same one or I might make a new comp for different ones.
The Rules: - No more then 100 words, but please more then 50. - It must be YOUR work, if I find out you have stolen someone elses work I wont be a happy Admin. - Have fun there is no point in writing if you don't have fun doing so!
So, there it is. Any questions, PM Kanchana and I shall do my best to answer them.
Spring Winter is slowly starting to ebb away from the lands of Freedom's Palace. Beautiful green grasses are starting to sprout and food is becoming plentiful again. The mountains will take a little longer to warm up from the winter cold but they will be much warmer than they were in the dead of winter. Newborn foals can be seen bouncing around the lands, as well as other animals freshly emerged from hibernation. Spring has returned, the season of rebirth.
Summer The heat of summer has began to increase. The deserts are becoming dry and may experience a drought this season. The ground is less fertile, producing grass of less nutrients. However, the horses of Freedom's Palace shall survive! Summer sun rays are reaching the earth and creating extreme temperatures, though the valleys maintain their own climates. The mountains may stay bearable and the snow on their tops will soon melt and provide the lowlands with water once again. Summer, the season of play!
The winter snows and storms have arrived in Freedom's Palace; the deserts are experiencing hard winds and a bit of rain. The valleys are covered in blankets of snow, and in some cases, ice. In the mountains blizzards ravage the steep paths, making them more dangerous. On the coastal terras strong winds, sleet, and ice also threaten. The hidden valley's terras also experience the storms and hard winter, although it is a dry winter there, the powdery snow that has fallen is picked up by the wind and threatens to blind any horse out in it's grip.
once again summer is over and Autumn has come again to freedom's Palace.
the land has cool down the nights are no longer so hot and stuffy. the days have cooled to more likable temperatures. but now the leaves are all falling in reds, yellows, browns and orange. there is no more shade after that. The grass has yellowed or gone brown. there is very little green grass to be found. All the birds are flying south with winter coming closer every day. let the autumn have days of golden sun and nights of sliver moons.
Winter Winter covers the dead with its soft snow. Leaving no traces of those who choose to die. The forests are good proection against the cold and the horses there thrive because of that. The desert and coast though are exposed to the elements and it is hard pickings for those who live there. Horses in the valleys and mountains have to be wary as the snow makes many trails treacherous. Winter is a hard time and only the toughest will survive each year.
Spring Rivers all through the land run full and treacherous with melted snow and ice. Winter has left and the smell of flowers and fresh grass is abundant all over. Flowers bloom in the mountains, coast, valleys and forest. The weather is warmer in the desert, and the sun is starting to keep the sand warm. New born foals play in the sun and learn about life. Fillies and colts old enough to be on their own wander in their homes until boldly they leave to seek a new home.
