Cadifor snorted and returned her question with a snarky response of his own. "To find more members for my family, my herd. Is it not obvious?" He smirked slightly. "I have a herd, in a secret valley protected from humans. There are not many mares there and it appears the one I have chosen for queen has disappeared. You are more than welcome to come and see my lands. If it does not suit you, you are free to leave whenever you feel." Cadifor knew that it sounded rehearsed and perhaps even a little feigned but there was no way to get around the cliche of describing herd lands. Every stallion always made his lands out to be the best. Cadifor did not try to do so, for in his heart he believed his lands were the best. Others may disagree, but he would talk up his herd like it was filled with horses made of gold and silver.
